Happy New Year?

This post is me venting... you don't have to read it if you don't want to. Ya know, I don't watch or listen to any news, it is too depressing. However, even though I do not listen to the news, there are a few things I know to be true. We are in a terrible economic recession right now. The jobless rate is at an all time high. Things are not going to get better for a while either. How do I know these things? Martin has been laid off twice this past year. As we search for jobs to apply for, there are hardly any and the ones that are posted are very picky because they have so many people to choose from. When Martin was laid off, I started working as much overtime as I could stand to ath the hospital.I had to try and get a little more cash flow coming in to pay bills. My kids are so spoiled, they actually expect to eat 3 meals a day and sleep in a house! Can you imagine? Now the hospital has cut all overtime, and next thing to go is my incentive ( Doing medical transcription, I get hourly rate + incentive based on my productivity). So it is very scary right now, not knowing if we can make the next house payment or not.

I can say though that even though this is one of the most difficult experiences we have ever gone through, We are still blessed. Our prayers are answered, not always the way we want them to be, but none the less answered. I can take my frusterations to the Lord and come away with more peace than I had when I went to him. Our family is healthy. Our little family is willing to do whatever it takes to be there for each other. It has brought us closer together. The kids are also learning wants versus needs. We are trying to keep a positive attitude. Some days that is easier than others. We can have a good attitude or a bad attitude but either way, we still have to go through it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
