Confessions of a Steeler's fan

Pittsburgh Steelers NFL Gitter Provided by FLMNetwork.com

Sunday was the super bowl. We did not go to any super bowl parties, we stayed home and no so quietly watched it as a family. Picture this... Martin and I are Steeler's fans, and the kids are all Cardinal fans. When we would cheer, the kids would yell "Nooooooo." When the kids would cheer, Martin and I would say "No way!" by the end of the game, poor Alex could not sit still. He was writhing on the floor, he couldn't stand it.

How does it feel to be a Steeler's fan in Arizona? Well, lets just say I didn't wear any jersies to work or anything. When asked, I said I was a Steelers fan, hence no invites to super bowl parties. Sunday on our way to church, we passed another church that had a big marque sign out front. On the screen, it invited you to come to their super bowl party, and also flashed "God loves the Cardinals!" So Martin and I ask ourselves, does that mean he doesn't love the Steelers? I think not. Monday we passed by this church again, and their marque was blank. I guess God doesn't love the Cardinals anymore because they lost? Does that mean he loves the Steeler's now?

I'd rather be a Steeler's fan than like the one holding the following sign I heard about..."Die hard Cardinals fan since 2009!"
